Another way to kill off liquid layout is by using this little gizmo: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/switchymclayout
A great idea to cater your website for los res screens like PDA and mobile phones, even the PSP and Nintendo DS. Can’t say i’d want to use it for 1024×768 and 800×600 though, unless you incorporate some form of liquid design into it too, otherwise you get lots of whitespace if you reduce your browser window size down a touch.
